Enter the Project Lab 2019

This is your chance to win £30k and a place on the Cinnamon Project Incubator where industry leaders will help you to develop your project so it can be replicated across the country.

Project Lab Criteria

This year we’re specifically looking for brilliant projects that are making a difference to the health and wellbeing of their communities and tick the following boxes:

  • Church-sized
  • Replicable
  • Well-led
  • Good track record
  • Vision to grow

We welcome applications from individual churches, or groups of churches, based in the UK.

You’ll need to be operating as a registered charity with up-to-date accounts. If your project isn’t set up as a charity in its own right, then you can submit documents from the church or group of churches that run it.

Project Lab Selection Process

Projects wishing to enter will need to submit an application form and a 60 second video.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 23 April 2019

In May,a judging panel, including representatives from Cinnamon and Mercers’ Company, will shortlist five projects to be put forward to the final.

The five finalists and up to two reserve projects will participate in a one-day Presentation Masterclass in early June in central London.Through this course they’ll receive professional help to develop the pitch they’ll deliver at the Project Lab Final.

The Project Lab Final is on Tuesday 25 June 2019 at Mercers’ Hall in central London. Each project will give a six-minute pitch, and then answer questions from a panel of expert judges and invited guests. Project Lab judges will select two winning projects to receive funding and a guaranteed place on the Cinnamon Incubator.

Guests at the event will also be invited to make a donation to fund the other finalists through the Cinnamon Incubator too.

All finalists must be able to attend a five-day residential ‘incubator immersion’ training programme from 14-17 October 2019 at a venue two hours away from London.

We’re really looking for great social action projects that are passionate about sharing their work. They might not yet be the finished article, but they must have great potential to be replicated through churches across the country. If you think this describes your project, we’d love to hear from you.
